Pigeon Forge TN

Pigeon Forge TN is a community that up until just a few years ago was an unknown place... a sleeping giant of sorts. They were content to just get a few straggling tourist on their way up the mountains.

Gatlinlburg and its northern neighbor Sevierville had always received all of the tourist and vacationers and profited greatly from it.

Then came Dollywood which we will cover on another page and the Knoxville World's Fair in the 80's and Pigeon Forge TN found her place on the map.

With more than 5000 residents the daily population swells in the summertime to more than 40,000 people eager to rent rooms, eat at restaurants, buy locally made crafts and shop at the local malls and outlets.

A very significant thing for this small community which was at one time a sleeping giant! It has not surpassed Gatlinburg in gross sales and in population with a 4 mile stretch of music theaters, restaurants, motels, hotels, attractions, shopping malls, and outlet stores.

Pigeon Forge is laid out along the parkway (US 441) from the cutoff at Sevierville to the spur which leads to Gatlinburg.
